Que o bairro da Liberdade esbanja cultura oriental, todos sabemos, pois é fácil de notar os produtos, as pessoas e a arquitetura do lugar.  

O que é está mais na cara e o que menos é notado por todos esta bem a baixo de nossos pés, o chão! Há tanto para se olhar, são tantos os detalhes na visão de nossos olhos, que nos esquecemos de olhar para baixo. A calçada da Liberdade carrega com si uma bagagem oriental que pouco é notada.Por todo o bairro, a calçada é composta pelo Mitsutomoe.

O Mitsudomoe é um símbolo japonês, e está presente em praticamente todos os templos budistas e xíntoistas. Ele é composto por três vírgulas, e representa um clico ou giro da terra. 
Nas artes marciais, ele representa a força. Diz a lenda no Oriente que aquele que tivesse esse símbolo sobre a pele, teria uma força concebida pela natureza.
